  • 250g 1 punnet strawberries washed hulled halved lengthways
  • 125g raspberries
  • 1 tablespoon warm water
  • 80g 1 3 cup caster sugar
  • 1 baguette french stick
  • 25g butter at room temperature
  • 125g mascarpone fresco brand

The Instruction of mixed berries on sugar bread with mascarpone

  • combine the strawberries and raspberries in a medium bowl drizzle with water and sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of the sugar gently toss until well combined
  • place the remaining sugar on a large flat plate cut four 2cm thick diagonal slices from the baguette spread one side of each baguette slice with the butter then press buttered side down into the sugar to coat repeat with the butter and sugar with the other side of the bread slices
  • heat a large non stick frying pan over high heat add the bread slices and cook for 1 minute each side or until golden brown
